Getting here
By car
From Ljubljana take the motorway towards Jesenice to the Lesce/Bled exit, then through Bled and Bohinjska Bela to Bohinjska Bistrica. The drive takes about an hour. Enter Pod gozdom 9, Bohinjska Bistrica in your sat-nav. Parking is at the house.
By train
Bohinjska Bistrica has a station on the Bohinj railway between Jesenice and Nova Gorica, a 13-minute walk from the house. A car-carrying train also runs through the Bohinj tunnel towards Most na Soči. Check the timetable with Slovenian Railways.
By air
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is 53 minutes by car; Klagenfurt airport in Austria is about 1 hour 20 minutes.
Summer and winter

In summer
Swimming in Lake Bohinj or at the water park in Bistrica, hiking in Triglav National Park, the Mostnica gorge and Savica waterfall, cycling along the valley. Horse riding, canoeing and fishing are nearby too.
In winter
The Vogel ski area and its cable car are 17 minutes by car. The apartments are heated.
